Computers and their accessories are now found in almost all companies. Printers can help in business and personal work. Before investing in HP injects or printers, read on to know the types of printers and inks.
Toner Cartridges and Laser Printers
Laser printers, as the name suggests, use a laser beam to print. The beam is reflected onto a drum. The beam is so strong that it can charge the surface of the drum negatively. This drum is rotated and the negative charges help it to pick up toners that are finely powdered carbon particles and polymer. The powder has the consistency of dust and the laser beam burns this onto the printing paper. The heat from the laser beam melts the fine particles and thus attaches them to the paper. The composition of the powder or toner varies depending on the manufacturer. Smaller particles can give a better resolution. The usage of pressure and heat while printing allows laser printers to print effectively, efficiently and accurately. Resolutions of 300 to 1200 dots/ inch can be attained with these toners. These printers require greater storage space. So, weigh your options wisely before deciding.
Inkjet Cartridges and Printers
The process of printing via ink cartridges is similar to just writing on a paper. The cartridge stores ink in liquid form and the printer applies pressure in order to print. There are holes in the cartridge through which the ink can be dispersed. The cartridges are divided into four or six compartments called wells to store inks of different colours. Inks are mostly water based but can be oil based too. Electronic chips placed in the cartridges can display how much ink is left. A majority of people prefer HP injects as they are cost effective and user-friendly.
